Bergamot Essential Oil 15mL · Grapefruit Essential Oil 15mL · Lemon Essential Oil 15mL · Mandarin Essential Oil 15mL. The four moods of a good morning — lift, activate, focus, ease. Together they cover the full citrus spectrum from sharp to soft, morning to midday.
Bergamot, Lemon, and Grapefruit are phototoxic. Do not apply topically and then expose skin to direct sunlight or UV light for at least 12 hours. Mandarin is not phototoxic. Diffusion of phototoxic oils is safe — the warning applies only to topical use.
Citrus isn't one mood. It's four different interventions.
Most people have one citrus oil. They use it for everything. But Lemon is not Bergamot — it's faster, sharper, and more singularly focused. Grapefruit is not Mandarin — it activates where Mandarin eases. Each citrus oil has a specific job. The bundle lets you match the oil to the moment instead of guessing which one to reach for.
What's Inside
Four citrus oils. Four distinct interventions.
They share a family. They don't share a function. Here's what each one actually does.
Why it's here
Linalool and linalyl acetate lower anxiety and elevate mood without the stimulation of pure citrus. The most nuanced oil in this bundle — neither sharp like Lemon nor sweet like Mandarin. The anchor that makes every blend more intentional.
Why it's here
Limonene-dominant — the compound that clears mental fog and signals the nervous system to activate. The oil that wakes up a room. Direct, immediate, bright. Pairs with everything in this bundle.
Why it's here
The sharpest oil in the bundle. Limonene at its most concentrated — the fastest-acting mental clarity signal in the citrus family. Builds the Pavlovian cue for 'now I work' faster than any other single oil.
Why it's here
The gentlest of the four. Sweet, warm, no phototoxicity concern. The oil that makes blends feel accessible — rounds the edges of sharper citrus and makes the bundle usable at any hour of the day.
Blend Recipes
Five blends. One for every moment.
Bergamot grounds most of these blends — it's the oil that ties the citrus family together.
| Blend | Recipe | When |
|---|---|---|
| Sharp Focus | 3 drops Lemon + 2 drops Bergamot | Pre-work, morning session, deep work block |
| Confident + Clear | 3 drops Grapefruit + 2 drops Bergamot | Pre-presentation, social situations, confidence reset |
| Grateful + Grounded | 3 drops Mandarin + 2 drops Bergamot | Midday reset, gratitude practice, warm mood shift |
| Full Citrus Stack | 2 drops Bergamot + 2 drops Grapefruit + 1 drop Lemon + 1 drop Mandarin | Morning diffusion ritual, room energy reset |
| Evening Skin Blend | 1 drop Lemon + 1 drop Grapefruit in 5mL Jojoba | PM skincare only — phototoxic, no UV for 12h after |
Bergamot, Lemon, and Grapefruit are phototoxic — for topical use only at night (PM). Mandarin is safe for daytime topical use. Diffusion is always safe for all four oils.
Q1 Why are three of the four oils phototoxic?
Cold-pressed citrus oils contain naturally occurring furanocoumarins (particularly bergapten) that react with UV light and cause skin darkening or burns. This applies to topical use only — diffusing these oils in your home does not create a phototoxicity risk. The rule is simple: apply at night, or choose Mandarin for daytime topical use.
Q2 Is Lemon Essential Oil safe around cats?
Lemon Essential Oil contains limonene, which is toxic to cats when diffused in enclosed spaces. Ensure good ventilation when diffusing Lemon — and if your cat shows signs of discomfort (excessive drooling, lethargy, pawing at face), stop diffusing and move them to fresh air. Grapefruit also contains limonene and carries similar risk. Bergamot and Mandarin are comparatively lower-risk, though caution with all essential oils around cats is warranted.
Q3 What makes Bergamot different from the other citrus oils?
Bergamot is technically a citrus fruit but has a chemical profile closer to floral oils. Its linalool content (also found in Lavender) gives it genuine anxiolytic properties that sharp citrus like Lemon doesn't have. It lifts mood without the edge of pure citrus stimulation — which is why it anchors most of the blend recipes in this bundle.
Q4 Can I use these in a roller bottle?
Yes — diluted. A 2% dilution (6 drops of essential oil per 10mL roller) is standard for daily body use. For daytime rollers, use Mandarin only, or Bergamot at very low dilution. For nighttime rollers, all four oils are appropriate. The Evening Skin Blend recipe in the blend table works as a direct roller formula in a 10mL bottle — just double the drops and fill with Jojoba.
Q5 How does the Citrus Bundle compare to buying single oils?
The bundle saves approximately $12 CAD vs purchasing all four oils individually. Beyond price, the bundle gives you the ability to blend — which is where the real value is. A single Lemon oil is useful. Lemon with Bergamot as an anchor is a different, more intentional product. The five blend recipes in the bundle give you a practice, not just four bottles.
