Lavender Essential Oil 15mL Β· Rose Geranium Essential Oil 15mL Β· Ylang Ylang Essential Oil 15mL. Three florals. Three completely different jobs. Together, they cover calm, balance, and warmth β the full emotional arc of a complete aromatic practice.
Not the same floral. Three different flowers, three different jobs.
Lavender doesn't do what Ylang Ylang does. Geranium doesn't do what Lavender does. They're florals in name β in effect, they're entirely different interventions. Lavender quiets. Geranium balances. Ylang Ylang releases. Use them separately. Blend them deliberately. Together they cover everything the floral range can do.
What's Inside
Three florals. Three different functions.
They share a category, not an effect. Each one does something the others can't.
Why it's here
Linalool targets GABA receptors β reducing mental activity and anxiety. The most researched aromatic oil in the world. The one that quiets the thought loop so everything else can start.
Why it's here
Regulates sebaceous gland activity and modulates the endocrine system β the oil for hormonally variable days, or any time you need to find the middle. The least extreme of the three β calm without sedation, floral without intensity.
Why it's here
Geraniol and linalyl acetate lower cortisol and blood pressure. The oil that softens the grip β where Lavender quiets the mind, Ylang Ylang releases the body. The warmth note that makes a blend feel intentional.
Blend Recipes
Five combinations. Start with one.
These oils blend intuitively β anything from this trio works with anything else in the trio.
| Blend | Recipe | When |
|---|---|---|
| Calm + Release | 3 drops Lavender + 2 drops Geranium | Tense days, stress, midday reset |
| Release + Warmth | 3 drops Geranium + 2 drops Ylang Ylang | Hormonal days, afternoon, wind-down |
| Full Floral Reset | 2 drops Lavender + 2 drops Geranium + 2 drops Ylang Ylang | Full body and room reset β diffuse or apply diluted |
| Skin Calm Blend | 1 drop Lavender + 1 drop Geranium + 1 drop Ylang Ylang in 5mL Jojoba | Sensitive, reactive, or hormonally variable skin (topical) |
| Sleep Deepener | 4 drops Lavender + 2 drops Ylang Ylang | Pre-sleep diffusion, every night |
For topical use, always dilute in a carrier oil (Jojoba recommended for face, Almond for body). Geranium: first trimester caution.
Q1 Why do these three oils specifically work together?
They cover the complete floral profile without overlapping. Lavender targets the mental side of stress (GABA, thought-loop reduction). Geranium targets hormonal balance and the middle ground β neither stimulating nor sedating. Ylang Ylang targets the body's cortisol response. Together, they address all three dimensions of stress and mood simultaneously.
Q2 Can I use Geranium during pregnancy?
Use Geranium with caution in the first trimester β consult your healthcare provider before use. Lavender and Ylang Ylang are generally considered safe in aromatherapy during pregnancy, though all essential oil use during pregnancy should be discussed with your healthcare provider.
Q3 Is the trio suitable for skin use?
Yes β diluted. All three oils are appropriate for topical use when properly diluted in a carrier oil. Jojoba works well for face application. Almond works well for body. A 1% dilution (1 drop per 5mL carrier) is appropriate for daily face use; 2% (2 drops per 5mL) for body application.
Q4 Are these oils safe around pets?
Lavender, Geranium, and Ylang Ylang are generally considered lower-risk for diffusion around pets compared to some other essential oils. However, cats are particularly sensitive to all essential oils β ensure adequate ventilation and allow pets to leave the room if they seem uncomfortable. Consult your vet if concerned.
Q5 How long does each 15mL bottle last?
At 3β5 drops per use: 50β80 applications per bottle. For daily single-use diffusion, that's 2β3 months per bottle. For blending at 2 drops per oil per session, the trio together lasts considerably longer β you're using less of each oil per application.
